This exhibition by Anj Smith attempts to promote cutting edge art from around the world. The exhibition is being hosted by Gallerie Isa, and is its third international art exhibition in Mumbai. Anj Smith is a London-based artist. She creates paintings which are often executed on a small scale and are highly detailed. Her works often incorporate references to the realms of fashion, nature and popular culture—her style is reminiscent of past period styles, but with a highly polished contemporary feel. She paints in close detail, combining beautiful and grotesque females, animals and objects that morph into abstract, almost apocalyptic, landscape backgrounds.
