13 AUGUST TO 9 SEPTEMBER

TRIVENI KALA SANGAM, DELHI

The poet and artist KG Subramanyan left behind hundreds of drawings—either complete in themselves or studies for larger works—when he died in 2016. Over half of the drawings are exclusively of women, and these form the focus of this exhibition at the Triveni Kala Sangam. Executed over six decades, the drawings demonstrate how Subramanyan’s perception of women evolved through his career. At each stage, he seeks to capture their dynamic relationship with their predominantly male environment.
