Suman Sridhar and the Oracle

Suman Sridhar and the Oracle kicked off their Black Mamba Tour, presenting music from Sridhar’s forthcoming solo album, in Mumbai. A good crowd turned up in Bengaluru to hear Sridhar open the set with a distinctive reworking of  ‘Ave Maria,’ influenced by African styles. She continued to exhibit her versatility on everything from slow ballads to energetic Bollywood covers. After a score of original numbers, the band closed the night with a rendition of Jimi Hendrix’s classic ‘All Along the Watchtower.’
