Mehreen Murtaza’s second solo show is titled Score for a Film. Murtaza, born in Saudi Arabia, is an artist who works in a variety of media. By manipulating the viewer to create confusion, Murtaza presents everyday objects as well as references to texts, paintings and architecture. Her artworks bear strong political references, often parodying mass media by exaggerating certain formal aspects inherent to our contemporary society.
