Ponniyin Selvan is an adaptation of the Tamil writer Kalki Krishnamuruthy’s epic historical novel by the same name. The theatre group Magic Lantern will incorporate elements of physical disciplines such as Parkour and Silambam in dramatising the history of a king of the Chola dynasty. The production returns to the stage by popular demand following 18 sold-out shows in 2014.
