CHINH, an organisation working with nomadic tribes, has organised a series of events for the festival in collaboration with the Indian Council of Cultural Research (ICCR). There will be performances by various nomadic artists, movie screenings, e-museum installations, workshops and food stalls. Among the films to be screened are Bhopa—Ravanhathe Ke Soorma, Children of Nomads, Kalbeliya—the snake charmers and Gadia Lohar. The art gallery at ICCR will showcase the lifestyle, traditions, culture and occupations of tribes such as Maru, Banjara, Kalbeliya, Bhopa and Bawariya. Nomadic cultural components such as attire, folk medicine, jewellery and weapons will be installed in the e-museum.
