Made By Hand: Book Craft & Artisanship

Founded in 1994, Tara Books is an independent publishing collective of picture books for adults and children. The publishers’ carefully crafted books combine fine form with rich content, working with local and international illustrators and artisans. Made by Hand is an exhibition exploring the secrets of Tara’s now world-famous handmade bookmaking process. The exhibition will be inaugurated with a special evening focused on the artisans behind the handmade books. A live demonstration of the silkscreen printing process at Tara’s Book Building and visits to their Book Craft Workshop are also available by appointment.
