KONARK FESTIVAL (DANCE), KONARK

The Konark Festival is organised by the tourism board of Odisha and features a range of classical dance performances including Odissi, Bharatanatyam, Manipuri, Kathak and Chhau. This year’s programme includes Mallika Sarabhai and her group performing Bharatanatyam, a Kuchipudi performance by Guru Raja Radha Reddy and Sattriya by Anita Sharma and group. Held in an open air auditorium with the Konark temple in the background, the festival also hosts an exhibition of Odishan temple sculptures, a sand art exhibition, and a crafts fair.
