Khajuraho Dance Festival

As the sun sets on a chilly winter afternoon in Madhya Pradesh, dancers take their positions outside the Chitragupta Temple built in homage to the Sun God. The audience nods knowingly as a difficult Manipuri step is performed with ease.  This year, the dance festival starts on 1 February.  The dance forms include Kathakali, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi and Odissi.
