IBSEN FESTIVAL (THEATRE), DELHI

01 December, 2012

The Ibsen Festival brings to Delhi a wide range of productions representing varied trends in international theatre. These productions serve as windows into how different cultures, whether Asian, African or European, have adopted Ibsen into their own cultural ethos and milieu.

This year, international directors have been invited to work on Ibsen productions with Indian theatre companies. Productions include The Master Builder, Lady From the Sea, Ghosts, and A Doll’s House with directors from Poland, Norway, Uzbekistan and Pakistan. Heisnam Tomba from Manipur and Sankar Venkateswaran from Kerala will also do specifically commissioned productions of Ibsen.

Ibsen Festival, 1 to 7 December, Kamani and LTG Auditoriums, Copernicus Marg, Mandi House, Delhi.
