An illustrated journey through the rich photographic world of Homai Vyarawalla, this exhibition takes us back in time to the final days of the British Empire and the birth of a new nation. As the first female photojournalist of Independent India, Vyarawalla’s photographs chronicle the defining moments of the nascent nation. Curated by Sabeena Gadihoke, the show emerged as a result of her 13-year-long journey with Vyarawalla.
