This exhibition will present works by the German artist Rosemarie Trockel, and is part of a series of monographic exhibitions featuring the painters Sigmar Polke, Georg Baselitz and Gerhard Richter. Trockel persistently formulates counter-positions in which she confronts the figure of the male artist-genius with feminine roles and subject matter. Her works connect traditional and new visual media, and feature ink, charcoal, pencil, collages, computer drawings and more.
Exhibition on Rosemarie Trockel, until 30 April, Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, 4 Greams Road, Thousand Lights, Chennai. For more information, call 044-2829-1692.
