Emil and the Detectives

Based on Erich Kastner’s eponymous children’s novel, this is the story of Emil, a young boy travelling alone for the first time to meet his grandmother. On the way, Emil is robbed and must hunt down the thief with the help of his new friends, the Detectives. The play is directed by Andy Packer and is part of the Australian high commission’s six-month celebration of Australian culture.
