The festival will feature recitals of renowned works by some of India’s leading classical musicians. Uday Bhawalkar will present a dhrupad recital; Ashwini Bhide Deshpande will present the works of Sadarang and Adarang; Shubha Mudgal will present bandish ki thumri compositions from Nandlal Sharma; Ajoy Chakrabarty will present thumri and dadra compositions attributed to Bade Ghulam Ali Khan; and Shankar Mahadevan will explore the concept of the bandish through myriad genres ranging from classical music to pop.
