Primary Responsibilities

-          Reporting and writing at least two long-form technology stories a year, besides a certain number of short-length stories in discussion with the relevant editors.

-          Working closely with editors to plan reportage and pursue investigative stories at the intersection of technology, business, governance and society.

-          Closely tracking developments in technology, politics, business and other fields, and developing a wide range of sources to use while building long-form stories, combining data journalism with on-ground breaking-story reporting for the website and social media.

-          Honing an approach that combines journalistic rigour with an eye for literary detail.

Requirements:

-          Candidates should have a minimum of five years of reporting experience in the field of technology, in newspapers or magazines.

-          Candidates should have an instinct for data analysis, demonstrate sound judgment and an enthusiasm for The Caravan’s commitment to improving the quality of writing and reporting in India.

-          The Delhi office is a small shop, with the environment of a start-up, and therefore requires team players with a willingness to be flexible.
