Writing, editing, scheduling and managing the social-media content for The Caravan across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and any other social-media platforms
Developing ideas and strategies to expand The Caravan’s social-media outreach and subscription base
Working with the photo and multimedia editorial team to develop The Caravan’s social-media presence
Working with the editorial teams to update and manage the search-engine optimisation for all stories published by The Caravan
Engaging with the marketing and administrative teams on driving The Caravan’s campaigns
Engaging with the readers as well the subscribers’ responses to our pieces, and expanding The Caravan’s community
Candidates with prior experience in social-media management or journalism are preferred. Applicants should be familiar with social-media platforms and management tools such as Tweetdeck, HootSuite and Google Analytics. They should exhibit sound judgment and an enthusiasm for The Caravan’s commitment to improving the quality of writing and reporting in India.
The Delhi office is a small shop, and therefore requires team players with a willingness to be flexible. This is a full-time fellowship, for the duration of one year. Night, holiday, and weekend work may be required.
