Twilight Falls on Liberalism

01 June 2018

Rudrangshu Mukherjee

Mukherjee considers the origins of this philosophy and demonstrates that it flourished when Western empires dominated much of the world, although liberal freedoms were denied to colonised peoples. He argues that various contradictions intrinsic to liberalism have made it vulnerable to attack and left it in crisis.
