Dom Moraes

A chronicle of the three months that the author and journalist Dom Moraes spent in the subcontinent in 1959, this book mixes autobiography and travelogue. It recounts, among other anecdotes, an ill-fated football match played next to a cliff in Sikkim, sessions with Jawaharlal Nehru and the Dalai Lama, and a narrow escape from a Chinese detachment in Sikkim.
