André Schiffrin has been a leading figure in the book publishing world for nearly 50 years. At Pantheon, he published titles by Jean-Paul Sartre, Studs Terkel, Art Spiegelman, Noam Chomsky and Michel Foucault. In 1990, Schiffrin left Pantheon to found the non-profit publishing house, The New Press. The Business of Words is a combined Indian edition of two of Schiffrin’s books—The Business of Books and Words and Money.
