P Lankesh P Lankesh was a prominent Kannada writer and journalist, and an award-winning film director, who lived between 1935 and 2000. He has to his credit six short-story collections, three novels, nine plays, four collections of poetry, two translations of Greek plays, four collections of critical works, and an autobiography.
