Bibuthibhushan Bandyopadhyay Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay was the author of many novels and short stories in Bengali, most famously Pather Panchali and Aparajito, which were the basis for Satyajit Ray’s Apu Trilogy. He lived from 1894 to 1950.
