The Wonder of it All

This Sakti Burman retrospective presents for the first time in India the well-known artist’s oeuvre, spanning five decades and comprising more than 100 paintings. Burman’s work is known for its weathered fresco appearance that appears at once vivid and faded. The Wonder of it All opened at Lalit Kala Academy in Delhi in February this year, and then travelled to Mumbai and Kolkata, Burman’s city of birth. Now Dakshinachitra Art Gallery, in association with Pundole and Apparao Art Gallery, brings the exhibition to Chennai.

The Wonder of it All, until 30 July 2012, 10 am to 6 pm, Dakshina Art Gallery, Madras Craft Foundation, G3 Madhurams Apartments, No.6 Urur Olcott Road, Besant Nagar, Chennai. For more information, visit
